What time should I arrive?
There is a pre-ball drinks reception, sponsored by Diageo, at 6.45pm. The ball will start at 7.15pm.
What should I wear?
The Press Ball is a black-tie event, so formal dress is expected.
You ARE required to wear a face covering when entering the venue. You are also expected to wear a face covering when going to the restrooms. You are NOT required to wear a face covering when at your table; when at the bar; or if you are dancing.
If receiving an award you MUST wear your mask but can remove it for the relevant photograph.
We advise all guests to take a lateral flow test on the day of the ball for extra reassurance.
Should I eat before I come?
Not unless you’re really greedy. The event includes a three-course dinner.
Will there be dancing?
A ceilidh will break out after the awards, with our resident band, The Black Isle Peas. Sponsored by Chivas Brothers. Last dance is 11.45pm and dancing stops at midnight.
When will all this end?
The Ball closes at 1am on Saturday 5th February. Last orders at the bar will be 12.45am
