Four Charities To Benefit

Four charities will benefit from the 34th edition of the Highlands and Islands Press Ball in February.

Highland Hospice, Centred (formerly Birchwood Highland), Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and the Liam Colgan Music Fund will be supported by our fundraising efforts.

The ball, and associated Highlands and Islands Media Awards, will be held at the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness on Friday February 3 2023.

It is the only event that brings together industry colleagues from across a huge and dispersed region and is expected to be attended by around 250 journalists and their guests from Shetland to Argyll and from Moray to the Outer Hebrides.

Last year the ball raised more than £4,500 for local organisations. The event has now distributed more than £115,000 for good causes, with all the money staying in the Highlands and Islands.

The 2023 ball and media awards will again have Diageo as principal sponsor, with additional support from Statkraft, the National Union of Journalists, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Hub North Scotland, the Kane Partnership, Highland Tourism and Bord an Gàidhlig.
